HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR DENIM
Hey, denim-heads! This is your definitive guide to caring for the most hard-working items in your closets. Follow these steps to pass down your favorite denim to your future grandkids:
1. Don't wash too often
Frequent washing will drain the color from your beloved denim apparel. Just air them if they need som freshening up.
However, if you do need to wash them, turn them inside out and wash in cold water with a mild, color-safe detergent. Also iron inside out.
2. Freeze them
Sometimes, denim can start to smell after a few wears. If you want to avoid washing them in order to preserve the color, try freezing them! It kills some of the bacteria and takes care of the smell.
3. Fold them
Jeans keep their shape best if you fold them. Save your hangers for your jackets!
4. Pick the right size
Jeans are more likely to rip and tear if you're wearing the wrong size.
5. Air dry
Your jeans may feel a bit stiff, if so, just throw them in the dryer for a few minutes on the lowest heat setting.
